After a very good sleep we drove 3hrs north along the coast to Wilpattu national park and our overnight tented camp. This is the largest and oldest park in Sri Lanka and renowned for its large leopard population. So we were hopeful for at least a glimpse during our 4hr jeep drive. Two had been spotted in the morning but sadly they stayed hidden in the dense forest and we arrived back at the camp feeling exhausted from the heat and bumpy roads and sleep totally eluded us last night.

Hi both, glad you arrived safe and sound. Although by the sound of it somewhat tired. Hopefully you will soon be back to your old selves. Will look forward to reading all about your adventures, sadly the photos are not appearing, will try and have a play later. Keep well and rested. xxx
