The Road Home to Denver

Bailey, Colorado, United States

After our morning in the Black Canyon we did a beeline back
to Denver, most of the distance between southwestern Colorado and Denver known territory
to both Doug and me . We stopped for lunch in Gunnison and from there on it was
a very familiar drive over Monarch Pass, the Upper Arkansas and South Park
Valleys, and finally across the Front Range on 285 to the Denver area. Around
Bailey we were treated to some spectacular rainbows as the afternoon light
shined on the back of a storm ahead. It was a fitting end to good travel week
with my bro, one of many we’ve had together over the last two decades in
Colorado and around the world.
