Port Elgin toTobermory

Tobermory, Ontario, Canada
We left early this morning in the fog from Port Elgin. It soon cleared up and we had a nice calm 61 mile run to Tobermory. We're docked right in the middle of the tourist section of town. We could probably charge admission to tour the boat. In hindsight we probably should have continued on to the Cabot Head anchorage, but with the wind forecast we thought a marina may be better than an anchorage to spend a few days. But the newest forecast is calling for west winds Monday with waves to one metre. We're thinking that it may be doable to cross Georgian Bay with the wind and waves at our stern. So we may leave early and go for it. We're docked with our friends we met at Port Elgin. The "Cast a Net" is heading to Port Severn as well so we may travel together while crossing the bay. Hopefully the next posting will be from the other side.
