Tobermory to Port Severn

Port Severn, Ontario, Canada
This leg turned out to be the longest as well as roughest weather so far. The weather was calling for 3 days of strong north winds on Georgian Bay. We, along with our new trawler mate the "Cast A Net" decided to make a run for it before the weather got too bad and we were stuck in Tobermory for the next 3 or 4 days. So we cast off about 6:30 AM to cross Georgian Bay. Wind was NW about 15 and waves were 3 footers from the same direction. By the time we got across the bay we were seeing West winds up to 35 and seas up to 6 feet or more. Lucky for us the waves were directly following so we would ride up on one and surf down the other. It wasn't really too uncomfortable and nobody fed the fish.  "Cast A Net" stopped for the night at a relative's cottage near Honey Harbor. We continued on to Port Severn arriving at 7:00 PM after a 105 mile run. We are currently docked below lock 45 after a long day. So far we're on or ahead of schedule. Tomorrow we do our first lock!
