Montreal, Quebec, Canada
Gerry and Sharon loaned us their car to visit Montreal. It was a bit stressfull driving someone else's car in a large unfamiliar city. But with the help of (and sometimes in spite of) a gps, we made it downtown. Plan A was to visit the Botanical Gardens. There was a special display that happened to be in its last day. Combined with the georgeous day, there were thousands waiting to get in. We decided not to wait the 1 ½ hour or so to buy tickets and go through the gate. We got back in the car and started driving. Left here, right there trying to follow the St. Lawrence River as close as we could.

We stumbled upon Old Port Montreal which was very cool with old buildings and lots of unique shops and restaurants. It was also close to Notre Dame Cathedral. So we walked around for a couple hours, took a bunch of photos, then followed the gps back to the yacht club. All in all. Plan B turned out to be a very pleasant afternoon.

We went out to a very nice Italian restaurant with Gerry and Sharon. Meeting up with people like them is what has made our cruise extra special.
