Singing for the Church Guardian

Marmarashen, Ararat, Armenia
In Manarashan, things get a little more cheerful. There's is a nice little chapel in the middle of a green area. In typical Armenian fashion, the chapel is higher than it is wide, with a round, corrugated roof. Around are a row of sculptures and typical Armenian design: pillars with crosses in the center and intricated designs--sort of a mix between Russian and Ottoman styles--but with a distinct uniqueness.

There are a couple of ladies at the entrance to the compound, selling candles and stuff . The Traveler hopes it isn't a sacrilege for him to play music here... The chapel guardians don't seem to mind--in fact, she and another lady ask the Traveler to play some songs for them!

Afterwards they share some grapes with him and they try to chat for a bit. Turns out this is a shrine that many Armenians come to visit...
