P’ok’r Vedi, Ararat, Armenia
Today the Traveler decides to do a little side-hike that he missed earlier. There's a historically important monastaery a few miles off the main road to Ararat he was on yesterday.

Here he passes through the village of Pokr Vedi, and beyond comes across a group of grape harvesters taking their breakfast break . They invite him to join them, and of course he accepts, honored by this opportunity to get a closer glimpse at life in rural Armenia.

Breakfast consists of pastries, coffee, chocolates and fruit laid out on a long cloth on the grass. One lady who must either be the supervisor or owner of the vineyard is seated with the rest and provides the breakfast. The workers are mostly older women--but with some men as well. They seem to thoroughly enjoy the Traveler's song which brings some joy to their long hard day. There does seem to be a cheerful cameraderie in the group. The Traveler guesses that their aren't many young folk in the group because they've all gone to the city--or to Russia--to seek better opportunities.

In the end they shares a couple bunches of grapes with him, and he continues on the way.
