1388. Peaceful Little Town

Kurşunlu, Çankırı, Turkey
Day 159
4 hrs, 4 .5 kms

The day is young so I figure I can go ahead and check out one of the smaller towns of Cinkiri province. I hop in a van to Kursunlu, which feels even more off the beaten track feel--but still with a cheerful, lively main street.

Kursunlu quickly switches to endless rolling hills scattered with an occasional farm house at its perimeter. Atop one of these hills it looks like another castle, so I trek up to check it out.

Looks like the wall was built (or perhaps rebuilt) rather recently--so not a true castle. Still a nice spot for a video clip and to pause and enjoy the traquility of rural Turkey.
