Cotui is another town I stopped by in 2006... but I can hardly remember anything abou that visit! Hopefully I've gotten better at engraving memories in my mind of every town. There's an obelisk in the plaza with images of the region painted on it... the ever-present Jehovah's Witnesses...

Unfortunately what I'll remember most about this visit is feeling pretty sick. I have a bad cold, and on top of it, am feeling sick to my stomach. I ran out of bottled water at the hotel last night and drank tap water--probably not a good idea. My rule of thumb is: if I see the locals drinking bottled water, I drink bottled water!
