In Bonao, I stagger around until I find a hotel. It's only 4 pm, but I'm going to have to call it a day. I stock up on bottled water, head to the room and don't get up until next morning. Fortunately I'm feeling a bit better, and am ready to make the most of my last couple days in DR.

In Bonao I notice that most folks are of mainly European descent, in contrast with the coastal areas where African ancestry dominates. It's a pleasant mid-sized town with it's own museum and a two storey tile mural on the front...

I grab a frozen fruit and yoghurt for breakfast hoping that will settle well, then continue on.
