2126. Finally, An African Hike

St Micheals, Lesotho
Day 3-064
2 hrs, 5 kms

Next morning I know exactly what to do: I'm going to just start walking . Walking and walking the entire day. This whole deal of waiting for a minibus to the next town... walking around the town center... then waiting for another minibus to the next town... that's really not the way I should be traveling any more. I've been itching to get back to the true "nathanphil style" of travel: on foot.

I do feel pulled towards deeper into the moutains. But I figure I should hike the stretch back towards Maseru first, since I know there are a lot of parkbenchable towns along the way. So after an early morning strum at the edge of the village (where I'm joined by a couple curious schoolgirls), I follow the road west... Here the valley widens to a open plain, with beautiful mountains all along the perimeter.

Then up a ridge, with an impressive view is the sprawled out village of St Micheals.
