Post visit: A slightly more sophisticated town
Monday, July 25, 2016
Mount Carmel, Pennsylvania, United States
Mt Carmel has a slightly more sophisticated feel, with it's forest of church spires catereing to the various Eastern European orthodox and Catholic denomination. Downtown has a good number of shops still open--including a "Sons of Poland" club. There is actually a mine nearby that is still running, so there might actually be some coal money in this town. The local library gives the Traveler the chance to look up on the map to see where he should go next. Looks like there are a lot more coal towns on east, so he figures he'll just continue that way for a while.
