Two days ago, I checked on the internet to see how close I am to having explored all the major towns of Sevilla provice. I discover, much to my chagrin, that just a few hundred meters beyond Mairena del Alcor, which I had just visited, was another sizeable city! I had actually seen it--but just assumed it was another neighborhood of Mairena.

Deep down I know I have to go back there--or it's just going to eat away at me--the feeling of having left something unfinished.

So once again, I get long before dawn, hike to the bus stop and get on a bus to Viso de Alcor, which I'm able to explore pretty thoroughly even before sunrise. Take a quick stroll up and down its quiet narrow streets... pause to watch the rays of dawn pierce the early morning chill across the plains below. Then take a quick walk back to Mairena, hop on another bus, head back to Sevilla... pick up my stuff, the head on my way.

Now I can say I'm finished with Sevilla province.
