1846. Sandwich Suburb

Lemoyne, Pennsylvania, United States
3 hrs, 4 kms

Lemoyne is sandwiched between Camp Hill and Harrisburg . Its Main Street kind of blurs with Camp Hills--and there's no decent place for a park bench concert. Doesn't really deserve a concert, but, hey, it's a borough, so I'm counting it.

Only memorable thing are the new "gutter gardens" on the sides of the Main Street. The idea is that they'll absorb rainwater from the street rather than having it just go down the rain.

And finally... I reach the Mighty Susquehanna... the skyline of Harrisburg on the other side... The kilometer long bridge...

I'm finally headed for the "big city", after weeks of small towns, forest and farmland
