Day 327 6 hrs, 10 kms Today is the big day: I'm going to officially cross from "The North" to the "The South" on my Appalachian Superhike. I don't expect any earth shattering discoveries--but it's still a symbolic moment in my journey through America.
So after a quick walk through and a couple more photos of Charles Town, I head south across the rolling hills of the Shenadoah, until I reach the sign "Welcome to Virginia" I get closer to take a picture of it, and at the bottom is a sticker that says "Confederate States" with all the flags used by the Confederates during the Civil War .
Yep... I'm in The South now...
