Concord, Saint John, Grenada
8 hrs, 6 kms

Next morning I get into another long conversation with Kim and Lylette . They both give me some good advice on some major decisions I've got ahead, so it's definitely time well spent.

Finally it's time to head out. This time I invite Alex with me to go check out Concord Waterfall. It's just a couple of kilometers off the main road, so I figure it's a hike she'll enjoy. My trip to Grenada wouldn't be complete without visiting at least one waterfall.

It's a pleasant stroll up a road winding through the jungle mountains. No sign of much agriculture, just wild jungle. Finally we reach a little souvenir shop overlooking the waterfall and an enticing pool far below. Yep, definitely worth the hike.

If you're really stingy, you could just take a picture of the waterfall from the top, but a 1 dollar fee to go to the bottom and take a swim in the pool is definitely a dollar well spent. It's a deep pool with some whirlpool action in it. I swim close enough to the waterfall to feel the spray but actually getting under the waterfall looks pretty risky.

Enclosed by cliffs on three sides and jungle foillage dangling from the top, its a great jungle waterfall swim.
