South Fork was the first town to be hit by the Great Flood of 1889, an event which the Traveler wants to delve into more once he reaches Johnstown proper . Much of the town was spared as the houses were built higher up on the slopes. However the town hasn't fared too well with the economic decline of this area over the last 100 years, and it has a bit of a run down redneck feel. There is a cozy little plaza right in the middle...
