1878 Heading Back North

Summerhill, Pennsylvania, United States
Day 348
2 hrs, 3 kms

Up past another quiet river town, the road heads straight north, where the Traveler can soak in the rich colors of fall . The scattered folks that live here almost certainly have to drive a good ways to find jobs--although there are little pockets of industry here and there. Then, around the bend, an enormous warehouse appears in the middle of nowhere. Next to it are massive, oddly shaped poles.

No they aren't poles, they are windmill sails, ready to be set up in a new wind farm somewhere... Apparently providing this region with a handfull of jobs, but certainly not the numbers that coal did.
