Day 18 - Flight back to Sao Paulo over the 'Meeting of the Waters' and the Amazon Jungle!
 
Jose kindly gave us a free lift back to the airport, such a lovely guy, then this time the flight for me wasn't too bad and it was incredible to fly over the meeting of the waters from such a height and see the many twists and turns in the many jungle rivers as we flew over the Amazon . We will be back for sure!!
 
Once in Sao Paulo, it was a taxi ride to our hotel which on checking in, the young guy asked us if we were there for business or leisure, we replied leisure to which he almost fell off his chair and said he had never had anyone come there for leisure, what does that say??!! The hotel was AMAZING, we had big pillows, a beautiful bathroom and a mini bar, heaven is not the word and I don't think either of us will now ever take hotels like this for granted again this was luxury beyond all luxury to us! Think we were the only people with backpacks though much to the security guy's amusement!! That eve we just lapped up the room, it was late we were tired, room service was the safest option and the food was gorgeous, no more microwave rice, this life we could get used to..... Needless to say we slept like queens and kings that night!!
