Zagreb, Croatia
Arrived in Zagreb and had a very pleasant day discovering the city.  A lovely old town, cobbled streets and pretty buildings with definite influences of Austrian architecture when Zagreb was part of the Austro Hungarian empire. Lots of outdoor restaurant seating to watch the world go by.
Classic gothic cathedral with soaring arches and painted glass windows and the 13th century church of St. Marks with a beautiful tiled roof.
Daily fruit and vegetable market….tomatoes and cucumbers that actually have heaps of flavour. Hard cheeses and great bread.
We are staying in a lovely little hotel - Hotel Jagerhorn  - in the old town through an archway.  Great drinks and breakfast terrace.
