Dr Seuss has written about 'The Places You'll Go' and over the next six months I will blog about 'The Places We'll Go'!  The review of the book states 'From fun times and triumphs to lurches and slumps, Dr Seuss takes an entertaining look at the adventures that life may have in store for us'.  No doubt during our travels there will be fun times and some lurches and slumps!

We will make the most of the many opportunities we will have to visit and learn more about the wonderful country of Australia that we are fortunate to live in.  We will be travelling with our friends John and Dorothy Stokes and we plan to be away for six months.

Although we, or maybe I should say “I thought I was pretty organised”, there were still those last minute bits and pieces that I wanted to get done and it all took time!  But with me staying up late on Monday night and Peter doing the vacuuming this morning, everything at home has been left clean and tidy.  And.....I did make a few trips back and forth to the van this morning.  Peter was rolling his eyes as I went past with another load of STUFF!  We are going to be away for six months!

We finally pulled out of the drive at 10.30am.  Just as I was about to leave I had a text from Dorothy, who was at Tuesday morning line dancing, asking me "If I was taking my line dancing shirt"?  We had talked about the possibility of checking if some of the towns we will visit have a line dancing group and if so, maybe we would go along.  I replied to the text "That I hadn't packed it, but I would run upstairs and throw it in".  It was the last thing to go onto the back seat of the car.  We were off.  Destination for tonight is Hamelin Pool, a distance of approximately 295 kms!
