Sail to Mobjack Bay Severn River Northwest Branch

Severn River Northwest Branch, Virginia, United States
On Monday we sailed out 3 miles into the Atlantic to dump the holding tanks, then motored toward Cape Henry where we were buzzed by a helicopter and naval jets protecting a passing aircraft carrier. That's what's nice about the Norfolk area--always interesting ships to see! Near the Cape we picked up some wind and were able to sail on one tack across the North Tunnel and directly into Mobjack Bay ("threading the eye of the needle" as Dave would say). We headed for the Severn River Northwest Branch and anchored overnight.
