Sail from Mill Creek MD to the Rhode River

Wednesday, November 14, 2007
Rhode River, Maryland, United States
We departed Mill Creek at 0630 hours in calm and light fog. In the course of the day winds were from the South under 5 kt building to 15-20, then later dying. We brought out the jib when we had enough wind to keep it full. Eventually we furled the jib and raised the mainsail. We were headed largely downwind but didn't want to deploy the spinnaker because the torn trampoline was not safe. By noon the wind had filled in to 10-20 kts, decreasing just about when we approached the entrance to the Rhode River. We arrived at 1500 hours.
