We were hauled out of the water to stay on the hard for the winter at Georgetown Yacht Basin, the only marina in the Chesapeake Bay area to have the capability to haul a vessel our size out of the water without the use of a railway.

We would be positioned in the yard area where boat owners were allowed to work on their own boats (you have to pay for this privilege!) rather than having to contract with the yard for (expensive) work . Since our aim was to do some significant bottom painting and install a new trampoline, this was the route to go.

We would aim to be back in the water by the beginning of May. We paid a seasonal storage rate that covered us through April.
