Cruising Again With Family

Mill Creek, Virginia, United States
We're taking Dave's Dad John and his wife Norma on a cruise for the next few days. We waited for them to arrive by car at the marina. While waiting, we spent time mounting the new piling bumpers we had purchased to simplify docking without having to tie on bumpers every time.  Dave re-plumbed the transom shower to cold water only, bypassing the mixer. Who needs hot water in the Bahamas?!!   We were prepared to leave as soon as they were aboard for one of our favorite nearby anchorages at Mill Creek off the Great Wicomico River VA. We were finally ready to leave around 1355 hours in light winds NNE on a very sunny and warm day. We sailed into Mill Creek under the main alone (always trying to minimize engine hours!). Thunderstorm about 2230.
