Sail to Carter Creek off the Rappahannock River

Carter Creek Rappahannock River, Virginia, United States
Before departing our anchorage this morning we took measurements with the bow sprit installed for the new Code 0 sail that Dave was contracting to have made.

It was flat departing Fishing Bay at 0952 hours . The day was mostly sunny and dry with light and variable wind. We motored out to start, then set the spinnaker and had a nice run into the mouth of the Rappahannock and under the bridge in 7-9 E. It's a great experience to take the spinnaker under that massive Rappahannock River bridge. Nabbed a couple small blues along the way which we threw back.

We were at anchorage in Carter Creek at 1345. It was a hot day so we inflated our "Cuddle Island" and lounged for a while under the shade of the hulls and trampoline...the cool-down was welcome.
