Before leaving the marina today we performed an auto calibration of the knotmeter. We ran 3 runs of .8 mile in the Little Wicomico River. Its agreement to our GPS improved at lower speeds as a result, but still appears off at higher speeds. We departed at 1150 hours on this mostly cloudy and very cool day heading across the Potomac for the St Mary's River on main and jib in NE 10-15, gusts to 20.

The wind was dying after 1500 hours but it went more E right on time as we entered the St . Mary's river and we were able to sail into the anchorage without using engines. We arrived Horseshoe Bend at dusk--1845 hours.
