Sail to San Domingo Creek near St Michaels MD

San Domingo Creek St Michaels, Maryland, United States
Today was very cloudy and cool. We departed our anchorage at 0746 hours with NW winds blowing 10-25 kts. We motored upwind in rough conditions in the morning out of the Little Choptank River, then sailed under main and jib toward the Choptank River. We were in our new anchorage (known as the "back door" to St Michaels) on San Domingo Creek by 1230 hours, thinking that we would visit the town of St Michaels. But Joan (understandably) was still distressed from having slipped anchor last night and did not want to leave Alize unattended. So the afternoon was spent handling some maintenance chores. We later took the dink over to Alize to have dinner together. Joan had compiled a list of the "must haves" for Alize by that time--top of the list was a new anchor!
