St Patricks day with Nigel and Sandy

Benalmadena, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands
We must have been tired after our epic drive yesterday as it was the alarm that got us up this morning. Feeling refreshed and clean we set off to Benalmedina, just 300km today and then we could party. As you can imagine the driving went quick today and we made it to meet our friends at the St Patricks party by 2pm where we promptly started drinking. What could be better than a Friday afternoon sat drinking in the sunshine with a great group of people and watching the 'Irish' entertainment.

After a short siesta we got our gladrags on and went to a hotel for dinner and then on to an Irish bar to continue with the days entertainment theme . It was a very late night but enjoyable and we slept like a log until the dawn chorus started.

Opposite our wild camp there is a brilliant park, however the animals awake very early and are extremely noisy (see pics).

Today we tried to catch up on our exercise quota and we are now totally exhausted with very achy feet having walked up and down hills for about 4 hours solild. It was also exceptionally hot about 26 degrees, so Mark was in his element and Penny was keeping in the shade as much as possible.

This evening it was back to the Irish bar for a thoroughly un-enjoyable evening of watching the Rugby with very loud Irish fans and just a couple of fed up English supporters (what’s new there then!!).
