Fortunately we managed to leave Porto on a much easier route than we arrived. The real trick is to ignore the Sat Nav as far as possible, follow signs or just look for the biggest roads possible.

On the way to Braga we stopped at a Pingo Doce supermarket, our new favourite as everything fresh is good quality and really tasty, anyway we stocked up on wine and we now have a good selection ready for our Denmark and Iceland trip .

We arrived at the campsite in Braga (no aire again even though it's the 3^rd largest city in Portugal) and after a quick lunch we were off to explore Braga.

It’s a much more compact city but with lots of character and lovely surprises when you least expect them. The main square Praca de Republica is enormous and took us a good 30 mins to walk round it. There were some beautiful and odd buildings (lots of pictures) and we had a lovely few hours exploring.
