Our last destination in Portugal was Chaves, a spa town. We thought we might get in practice for Iceland but as it turned out the Spa looked pretty ordinary (like a leisure centre) so we decided to keep our €95 each and save it for Iceland.

The lady in the tourist information was brilliant and gave us so much information . We had a good walk around the town and had a lovely lunch at a local Pastelerie. Unfortunately a lot of the town was shut, off season, but it was quite a nice couple of hours wandering around.
