We stayed for most of the day in Chaves as the weather said it was going to be about 19 degrees there but 9 degrees at our next destination.

We had another walk around the town and managed to visit the Castle Keep Military Museum that was shut yesterday .

After lunch in the van we braved the shower block and it had just warmed up nicely.

We set off about 2pm to drive to our overnight aire, arriving at 5pm leaving us enough time to have a march round town to look at the castle which was pretty spectacular for such a small place. Nothing was open for dinner at 6.30pm so we went to Dia to find some tea. Our resources are run down as we're ready to come home!!

We were on our own at the aire but the location was nice and quiet so we felt okay to stay.
