Today just going to focus on a few highlights. We all had bought VIP Spa packages to enjoy their thermal pool, saunas, warm beds and meditation room and we used all the services today. We stayed over an hour and half and could of stayed longer if Marge and I did not have lunch reservations. It was really very nice and relaxing. We all enjoyed our time in the thermal pool. They have large stainless still pipes arranged such that one end of the pool is like a long lounge chair. It is really quite relaxing with the jets going through the bars. After a while there we went into a room that has 5 lounge type tile beds that are hot and you can lay and relax on them. All very decadent. It was really a relaxing enjoyable time and my body felt better all day.
The next highlight was our walk into Saguenay which really doesn't have much to say for itself as a cruise destination but it's a nice enough small town
. The cruise ships come here I am sure mainly for the tours to various scenic sites in the area. The Saguenay area is beautiful being in a fjord of the Saguenay river into the St Lawrence. The hills leading down to the water remind me of the Cascades, by that I mean they are covered in green fir and broad leaf trees with rock outcropping's every where. It was like someone flooded the Puget Sound basin up to the Cascades. In the Saguenay area it self the land was dotted with farmlands adding to a very cozy countryside.
And to end this entry as the day ended I must complement Bernie Wilder for an enjoyable show. He is a harmonica player of all things and he does a fabulous performance. He has played with symphonies from around the world and played tonight with the Hellcats the resident band on the Eurodam this voyage. We all wondered how could a harmonica player do a solo or play accompanied by a symphony when we went and all I can say is he did wonderfully. The music was lively and varied, a very energetic performance enjoyed by all.
