As we watch the sun come up......yes we are up that early, enjoying our coffee this fantastic great blue heron decided to land on top our building, posing for me to take pictures. We have been enjoying the hummingbird that is buzzing our feeder as well.
So, we have settled in fairly well to our little corner of the world. The condo is clean, we having a working fridge, more importantly ice and cold beer, and we have joined a few activities in the area. Tim and I joined the golf course, as well as the respective leagues, and have joined the slow pitch group. So far no injuries, just some pretty stiff muscle groups that haven't been used in a long time!
Yesterday we spent the day at the local beach - even getting in the water, despite the initial shock factor. They say the water gets colder over the winter. Right now it is not too bad, but I can see the wetsuits will come in handy. We drove to some other beaches to check out the snorkelling and kayaking potential. Some great places to explore. We got the kayak in the water earlier this week. No one lost an eye and no one got tossed overboard! We still have some paddling kinks to work out, but I think we can work those out as we go. As long as Tim learns to take instruction!! If the wind is quiet tomorrow morning we are going out in the kayak.
We are getting ourselves motivated this morning and are going golfing, followed by a swim. It is supposed to be another beautiful day. We will continue to working on our tans!
