Punting in Kent

Lenham - Kent, England, United Kingdom
Yesterday we went to a huge pack-house that packs apples for Tescos which is a huge supermarket. After Mum had finished her work for the day, we went on train to an old town in Kent called Canterbury. It is a very famous, historic town and we learnt a lot about it when we went on a punting trip down the river Great Stour. It has a broken down old Norman Castle from 1000 years ago and the town itself has an old Norman fort wall around it.The city centre is full of houses that are around 500 years old and the whole feel of the town is very historic. It was an amazing place to visit!! A bonus of the trip for Mum was that we found good coffee!! We had to use Tripadvisor a lot to find good places.

That evening we went out for dinner with some of Mum's customers . We went to an old, traditional Kent pub in a tiny little village. The food was absolutely delicious!

Today is the last work day! We are going to see one more pack-house and then we're going to London. The most exciting thing is that we are finally meeting Dad and Ruby! Then this afternoon will just be relaxing time which will be really nice - especially for Dad and Ruby.
