A Fantastic History Day in London

London, England, United Kingdom
Yesterday we went to the British museum and saw the Egyptian mummies, coffins and sculptures. We also saw the rosetta stone which is a famous stone because it is used to decipher the ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs. It has lots of hieroglyphs written on it. One of the Egyptian mummies was a really old man who had been preserved in hot sand since 1100 BC! He looked disgusting though!! We learnt that the Egyptian civilisation lasted for over 3000 years. We next walked down the Mal which is the road that leads to Buckingham Palace. We stayed at the Palace for a while - taking lots of photos and looking at the Queen Victoria memorial. The palace is so big and the guards look so cool! After Buckingham Palace we walked to Soho for an early dinner of lasagna because next up was Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! We went to Theatre Royal on Drury Lane in Covent Garden and the inside of the theatre is amazing! The show was a musical and all the props and costumes were so incredible! At the end of the day we were exhausted! Tomorrow we are going to Southport to see our cousins which we're really looking forward to!
