A Market Day

Paris, Île-de-France, France
Today we went to a lovely market for breakfast. We had croissants, crepes and espresso. We walked around the market and bought some food. after the market Jed Isabelle and dad went to the catacombs. While they were at the catacombs mum and me (Ruby) walked around the market and in Maubert-Mutualite. We went to some really lovely bakery's and got some pastry's. After awhile we meet up with Isabelle Jed and dad. We walked to the Notre dame and didn't go in because the line snaked all the way round the square. We could of had to wait in line for 2 hours! But luckily we did get to see the outside and around it. We walked to the love bridge and saw thousands of locks. We also walked to St Germain and had coffee and Orangina. For dinner we bought some quiche and tarts. Tomorrow we will be doing a lot of walking round at art galleries.

Les catacombes
While Mum and Ruby were eating food at a little market, me (Isabelle), Jed and Dad went to see old human bones, stacked up in underground tunnels . It was actually really cool and not that creepy! Jed loved it even though he found it a bit scary at the start. If there had been no lights we probably wouldn't be able to see our own hands! We found out that the Catacombs are 20 metres underground, under the Metros, water pipes and sewage, and that there are the bones of over 6 million Parisians in there including famous figures, people from hospital cemeteries, and people that were executed during the revolution. It was an amazing experience and a cool story to tell!
