From oak trees to go-carts

Cucuron, Provence, France
Today when we got up at 8am, it was raining! It was hard to believe as it has been so hot here lately. At 8:30 we started walking towards another small little village called Vaugines. We expected it to only take us half an hour but we took the wrong track and ended up taking 1.5 hours! But that didn't matter as the trail was really beautiful - we saw an oak orchard, sunflowers, harvested lavender, fig trees, almond trees and more! When we got to Vaugines we realised that they were holding a local go-cart race which we watched for a little while. When we headed back to Cucuron we made sure we took the right path! For lunch today we had it at a local restaurant in the main village square. The food was delicious but it took so long we almost missed our taxi to the lake! But we got there and spent the rest of the afternoon swimming, sunbathing, sleeping and eating. Tomorrow we will hopefully be sorting out our drivers license and renting a car! Cucuron is so beautiful and we all love it!
