Matterhorn in Zermatt

Zermatt, Wallis, Switzerland
This morning we woke up to a really good view of the Matterhorn we quickly then had breakfast at the hostel. Then took the highest cog train in the world up to Gornegrat. Gornegrat is 3109m high. We had a really good view. We could see the Matterhorn, some glaciers, and lots of other mountains. We then walked down the trails to Zermatt. On the way we saw more mountains, lakes. Waterfalls. Streams, chalets. They were all really pretty. We stopped and had lunch half way down the mountain with an excellent view of the Matterhorn. It took us about 4 hours to walk down the mountain through forests, villages and a raging small river filled with glacial melt.

Back in Zermatt we shopped for some souvenirs and chocolate (At the Lindt shop) . For dinner I had a bratwurst with some nice bread. It was an exciting day
