Heading to Hong Kong

Hong Kong, China
This girl needed some downtime. There was an optional trip to the Shanghai museum, which is supposed to be amazing, but I just couldn't do it. We are staying at a spectacular hotel, so we decided to just chill and enjoy the facilities. There are so many buttons and options that it’s fun to just open and close the blackout shade. There is a nespresso coffee machine, a "spa" button in the bathroom that dims the light and plays spa music and “mood” lighting throughout. We stayed in. Breakfast is included and it’s a good thing that it is. Breakfast for two would run around $100. Note to self and others, order your eggs well done or your omelets are runny. Yuck! The service is some of the best I have experienced. They get the hospitality business, unlike some local Cazenovia winery, for example : )

Departing the city, the skyline is just as impressive during the day as at night . We took the only MagLev train open to consumers from a station to the airport. Tim started calling to the Magluv train which then morphed into Macluvin train. The entire trip took 8 minutes. The Shanghai airport is yet another spectacular new facility. We are heading to Hong Kong on Dragon Air. Don’t you love the name? Very well fitted out with TV screens and menus for economy.

After yet another spectacular airport we headed by bus (left side of street) to downtown Hong Kong. The hotel was built in 1920 and the lobby is old world. Small orchestra playing in an overhead mezzanine. It is reminiscent of then Britain was the local government. Cheerio!
