It all changed at Skagway

Skagway, Alaska, United States
Hello allAfter sadly leaving the Bay of Glaciers our ship moved to the small town of Skagway. The 4 of us decided to take the historic Whites Pass train trip to "Whites Pass". I'm not going to give you a history lesson here but it was a nice and slow trip with wonderful views. Grant, our travelling companion, had been feeling a bit seedy for a day or two and this train trip was doing him in. I was beginning to go downhill as well. Grant and I retreated to our ship rooms and Sandy and Linda saw the rest of Skagway.  Grant and I were diagnosed by the ship doctors as having Influenza A and we were told that we were quarantined to our staterooms for the next three days and given a course of drugs. So the next day when the ship stopped at Juneau, capital of Alaska, Grant and I remained in our staterooms.  I watched the new Star Wars movie 4 times, but still slept thru most of them. The short story is that Grant and I responded very well to the drugs and our quarantine was lifted at the end of the 2nd day. Yah!!!.   So we were free to leave our staterooms and also allowed to leave the ship at the next port of Ketchikan. I admit to being a little "fragile".
Talk soon .
