Finally, we drove through Calgary, through endless green fields, towards hills and mountains. After an hour or so of driving, we were surrounded by huge mountains on all sides. I stopped the car near an outlook and took a couple of photos on the way.
Soon we arrived to Canmore, one of several small mountain towns in the Rockies
. It took three tries to find the right inn, because they all have very "creative" names, such as Rocky Mountain Ski Lodge, Canmore Rocky Mountain Inn, Rundle Mountain Lodge, etc.
After settling into the room we were ready to venture into the park. See the next entry.
