Icefields Parkway, take two

I ordered two tickets for Icefields Centre: Glacier Adventure (that we did the previous day) and Glacier Skywalk. Since we arrived to the centre too late to do both, we had to come back for the second attraction. So, after a leisurely brunch at a local pizza place (we had a pizza with smoked salmon) we drove back to the Centre and used the second ticket for Skywalk. A shuttle bus took us to a structure that's basically a small platform suspended above a deep valley. on the way to the main platform we used free audio guides to get some information on the formation of the valley, animals that live around it and so on. The platform hanging over the side of the valley has glass floor and walls, so some people might find it exciting, but it wasn't really that scary. It is definitely not worth the time it takes to go to the centre, then take a shuttle there and back. On the positive side, we got another good look at the glaciers in the area!

Then we drove back towards Jasper and stopped at destinations that we missed before: Sunwapta Falls and Athabasca Falls . Both waterfalls carved out deep canyons in soft rock and Athabasca Falls had a lot of info on the formation of canyons. We even got to explore an older part of the canyon that is abandoned by the stream now.
