Successful Arrival to Paris

Paris, Île-de-France, France
The flight was rather annoying, but successful. It wasn't long enough to get any sleep and wasn't short enough to be fresh and chirp at the end of it. Terminal 3 of the Charles de Gaulle airport turned out to be a tiny shack, the had none of those expendable corridors that let you walk from the plane into the airport, so we were driven in a bus instead. On the plus side, passport control and baggage pick up was fast and easy.
We took a train and a subway to get to our hotel, then dropped off our bags and despite a sleepless night went to the center of Paris to see one of it's most beautiful landmarks - Notre Dame de Paris. Let me assure you, it is still as beautiful as always :)
After a short walk around the two islands (Cité and the Île St-Louis), overwhelmed with the beauty of each building, we headed back to the hotel, where our rooms were prepared.
Two refreshing showers and 3 not less refreshing hours of sleep later, we headed back to the train station (Gard du Nord) to meet Julia's cousin and her husband. Four of us had a pleasant night at a nice and quiet neighbourhood 17, where the cousin lives, had some French food (I had a duck) and some Italian gelato.
Then we've said our goodbyes and traveled back to the hotel, where I've discovered a free WiFi spot that goes so nicely with my laptop. So here I am, finishing the description of today's adventures inside the hotel's nice little courtyard, breathing in the unforgettable Parisian night air and listening to lively French speech coming out of the windows.

From Jules :)
Since Dima is already describing everythig (and since the laptop keyboard is really annoying :)), I will just be adding things in the comments 8-)

On the flight: food was also not that great (mom, note for that airline - Air Transat). Firstly, they didn't feed us until 3 or so hours into the flight (dinner), and the breakfast consisted of one (1) muffin and one drink :) But I guess, that's ok if we saved some hundreds with this airline.

Our initial walk: yep, everything was beautiful and stuff, but it was all covered in mental fog as we were really dead tired :) But we could only get the room after 2 pm.

In the evening: I had a duck, too! It was too... saturated, or something, for my taste, but potatoes it came with were nice :)
