Glencoe Village, Scotland, United Kingdom
We had a huge breakfast in the morning and ran to the bus station to catch a bus to Glencoe (there are only 3 buses each day). We were almost the last ones to get on the bus, so we got the lamest seats, next to a washroom (door of which was constantly flying open, whenever it wasn't used) The ride took about 3 hours and we saw a lot of cool views along the road.
When we finally arrived to the Glencoe visitors' center, we tried to find a place to store the luggage for a few hours, but there were no facilities at all for that! Of course, we couldn't go on a hike with 2 huge luggages in tow, but luckily a nice lady on the reception let us hide them in a small room behind some exhibit . That was really nice! Then she told us that we shouldn't go hiking in running shoes, but we went in any case and had a really pleasant time, walking through the woods, up and down the hills, looking at mountains around us. We even walked to a tiny Glencoe Village (just 1 street, 20-30 houses, a gas station and a hotel) and we had a lunch at the hotel restaurant, some greasy fish and chips (we didn't get hungry for the rest of the day after that!)
We walked back to the visitors' center (about 30-minute walk from the village) and picked up our bags from the reception lady. She was so nice that she even gave us some brochures and a calendar for free! I verified the location of the bus stop and we walked there to wait for the bus.
When the bus wasn't there after 15-minute wait, we weren't too worried, since the morning bus was 20 minutes late. After 30 minutes of waiting we began to think the bus was too early and we missed it... After 45 minutes we began wondering where we can find a bed for tonight... Fortunately, the bus arrived about 50 minutes late and we hopped right in!
