Inverness walks

Inverness, Scotland, United Kingdom
Today, we decided to save some money and bought some groceries instead of going to a cafe for breakfast. We got some yogurts, fruits, cheese and bread, made some tea (all hotels here provide kettle, cups and teabags for free) and had the breakfast in the room for a change.
Then, at 11am we went for a walking tour of the city with a be-kilted local tour guide (from Happy Tours company) . The guide was knowledgeable and a lot of fun, so 1-hour tour went by in a flash :)
After the tour we went for a walk along the river Ness's banks, crossed a foot bridge to one of the river's numerous islands and made our way back to the city. We also stopped in a really fancy restaurant for a lunch; here even the fanciest places are pretty affordable during certain hours, we payed ~10 pounds for a 2-course lunch.
After the lunch we caught a bus to Culloden Battlefield, a place where Jacobites were beaten by the English government. The loss of the battle resulted in heavy repercussions for Scottish people as Gaelic culture and clan system were severely weakened (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Culloden for more info). There is a very informative visitor center that explains the history of Jacobite Rising and the GPS-based audio guides provide information right in the field.
