Ring of Kerry

Killarney, County Kerry, Ireland
Today we took a day-long bus tour around the Ring of Kerry, a picturesque path along the shores of Iveragh Peninsula. The bus stopped every 30-40 minutes to allow tourists to admire amazing views. One stop was at the Kerry Bog Village, a recreated 18th Century settlement of Irish workers and turf cutters. At the village we saw some huge dogs, Irish wolfhounds, and also some Kerry bog ponies of roughly the same size!
The highlight of the day (as the bus driver said: "The best €5 you'll spend in Ireland") was a shepherd's show . A local shepherd showed us his herding skill, using dogs (Border Collies) to move sheep around pastures. It was amazing! He directed dogs left and right, controlled each dog separately (they understand different signals), moved the herd, separated some sheep from the rest of the herd and so on.
After the tour was over, we hopped on another bus that took us to Waterford.
