Dingle Peninsula exploration!

Saturday, April 30, 2011
Dingle, County Kerry, Ireland
After a huge Irish breakfast (eggs, bacon, sausages, toast and a fried tomato) we met some local horses (Connemara pony) and bunnies. Then we took a ferry across a bay to Dingle County and Dingle Peninsula. We took a narrow and winding mountain road to the town of Dingle (very original, yes) and then made a circle around the tip of the peninsula. Some of the highlights of the trip are:
1 . Sheep, tons and tons of sheep, lots of frolicking lambs
2. An ancient stone oratory dating back to 7th century
3. An ancient fort on the edge of a cliff, protected by a massive stone wall
4. Extremely beautiful views of coastlines, grasslands and the ocean.
In the end of the day we got dropped off at the B&B in Killarney.
