Waterford, County Waterford, Ireland
Waterford is the oldest city in Ireland! It used to be a viking settlement and it still had the oldest civic building in the country! There's a bunch of medieval towers scattered around the city, where the old city wall ended. You can still see the fragments of the medieval city wall here and there.
There isn't too many sights in Waterford, the city centre could be covered in an hour or so . The most interesting attraction in the city is Waterford Crystal factory, where you can see the whole process of creating a crystal vase or something. Glass blowing, cutting and polishing is done manually, so no wonder it costs so much!
We had some inconvenience with our hotel location, since it's only accessible by taxi and there's no place to leave your luggage in the city. So we had to leave our luggage in the hotel, then take a taxi to city centre, walk around and take a taxi back to the hotel and then to the train station..
After all that we took a train to Kilkenny, walked to the hotel and got some rest.
