We packed, ready to leave, but didn't make our escape in time. Track and trace caught us and told us we were not allowed to leave to get our flights. So, for the second time, we missed our flights , but this time we couldn't rebook because we didn't know when we would be able to leave. We had to organise PCR tests, but we weren't allowed to get on a bus. Everything had to be delivered.
Keith let us stay and offered to refund our money, although I didn't let him. The local shop was lovely. They delivered food to us, as we had emptied the fridge ready to leave. It was, however, enormously expensive to get three meals a day at small village shop prices. We also had the problems that we hadn't brought enough medication with us for an extended stay. It was a worrying time.
We cooked meatballs, played backgammon and watched TV. It was stressful being stuck indoors.
